Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative presents the first ever film and media Exchange in Western Massachusetts on Friday, October 24 at Baystate Health’s Conference Center  in Holyoke, MA. The Big Broadcast, The Jazz Ensembles at Mount Holyoke College’s annual recreation of a live 1940s radio broadcast, celebrates its 10th anniversary in March, 2015. Performances will be at 2PM and 7PM on Sunday, March 8. 

Harriet Scott Chessman, after some time off from “The Beauty of Ordinary Things” tour, is working on a libretto with opera composer Jonathan Berger, which will have its premiere in the Bay area in 2015-15, presented by Kronos.www.harrietchessman.com

The David Pakman Show now airs five days a week on radio, TV, Youtube and the web.  www.davidpakman.com

Kurn Hattin Homes for Children  celebrated two milestones in August. The 120th anniversary of its founding and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Alumni Association. Both were feted on Elisha W. Culver Alumni Weekend, named for KHH’s first Alumni President. www.kurnhattin.org.

Suffield Academy, Suffield, CT. is planning its Fall Open House on Saturday, October 25. Details forthcoming. www.suffieldacademy.org.

Victor Acquista MD, author of “Pathways To Health: An Integral Guidebook”, will give a series of Integral Health workshops in Copenhagen on January 30-February 1, 2015. Mark Onstage. I’ was thrilled to particpate in a fundraiser for The Chester Theatre Company’s 25th season on August 4, when I moderated.an evening with Eddie Shapiro, author of “Nothing Like a Dame: Conversations with the Great Women of Musical Theatre”.
