KURN HATTIN FARM WEEKS:
Fall, 2012
Kurn Hattin Homes, Westminster, VT

Students at Kurn Hattin, a residential school for children in need, will learn about farming, harvests and farm products on Kurn Hattin’s working farm, as part of four Kurn Hattin’s Farm Week programs this fall.

Upcoming Farm Week programs include:

***September 13-14: Apples and Cider Making.

***October 15-19: “Autumn Chores”, Potato and pumpkin harvest, leaf
collecting, and other chores.

***November 8-9: Dairy Farming. Students visit a nearby dairy farm.

***December 10-14: Christmas Pine Crafts. Holiday wreaths and
evergreen arrangements.

These events are not open to the public.

Kurn Hattin's agricultural program was founded in 1894 on the belief that the rural New England farm life instilled in children the values and character necessary for a successful, productive life. Today its 280-acre campus in the hills of southern Vermont includes a fully operational farm, apple orchard and sugar maple grove, where students gain practical knowledge and apply analytical skills in the farm science program.  For information on Kurn Hattin’s Agricultural Programs: https://kurnhattin.org/programs-a-services/farm
