3RD ANNUAL WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS FILM AND MEDIA EXCHANGE

Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 10AM to 6PM
Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel
One Monarch Place, Springfield, MA

A day long series of workshps, seminars, and networking opportunities for non-profit organizations and small businesses to teach them how to create and use video in their social media, fundraising and marketing efforts. We will also introduce attendees to local filmmakers and videographers who can help them realize their vision.

The Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative (BFMC) is a creative economic engine that supports production and workforce development in Western Massachusetts. BFMC develops educational and workforce enrichment courses, offers networking events for industry professionals, acts as a resource for visiting productions, creates jobs within our communities in the film industry and provides an on- line production guide and locations database as a resource for filmmakers. BFMC was formed in 2009, and is a fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.

The Press Room, the independent coffee shop in Westfield, MA hosts a Singer/Songwriter Showcase Series on the second Friday of every month.  Event organizer Ed Bentley hopes to showcase local singers/songwriters, who want to perform their acoustic music in a small setting. Up to three soloists or duos will have the opportunity to perform a 30-40 minute set at each showcase concert. These events are free and open to the public. Coffees, teas, soft drinks, and edibles are available for purchase.

Singers and songwriters interested in performing should contact Ed Bentley, Event Organizer, at either 413-562-6519 or efbentley2@comcast.net.

WESTFIELD’S PRESS ROOM TO HOST MONTHLY SINGER/SONGWRITER SHOWCASE SERIES ON THE SECOND FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH BEGINNING AUGUST 12

The Press Room, an independent coffee shop in  in Westfield, MA will host a Singer/Songwriter Showcase Series on the second Friday of every month, beginning August 12, at 7PM. Event organizer Ed Bentley hopes to showcase local singers and songwriters, who want to perform their acoustic music in a small setting.
